We invite you to hear about the Strong Heart Study, the largest epidemiologic study of cardiovascular disease and its risk factors among American Indians since 1988. Dr. Deen and Dr. Mokiao from Seattle Children’s Hospital will discuss the design and impact of the study and the ways that researchers engage and sustain AI/AN participants and community leaders. The goal of this webinar is to provide Kānaka Maoli with an opportunity to collaborate and learn about cardiovascular health research.
